Each year PeopleFirst sends our residents back to school with a full bag of supplies to help our young learners succeed in their classrooms! This year Utica University Freshman joined our staff and PeopleFirst AmeriCorps team to fill over 400 backpacks for their community based initiative - "Pioneer Pitch In Day"! Students from Utica University partnered with community agencies to learn more about the work being done throughout Central New York, and PeopleFirst was so proud to be chosen to participate.
The backpacks are distributed to families at our residential sites. We are so grateful for our community partners, and the time they send with us to ensure our community succeeds!
